Police Seize 13 Vehicles In Three Weeks

Police are keeping up their fight against illegal drivers across the Harborough District.

13 vehicles have been seized this month, the majority for not having insurance, and drivers reported for motoring offences.

The latest was on Saturday when officers spotted a man defecating in a lay-by near Ullesthorpe – he vaulted a fence and ran off – his car recovered as it was not insured.

Officers say the majority of the cars and vans taken off the streets will be sold or scrapped and they will continue to target people using the roads illegally.

In November, Harborough Police seized 20 vehicles in four weeks.
