Suspected Drug Dealing Gang Arrested

A 33-year-old man from Great Glen is among 17 men being questioned by Police after a major operation targeting a suspected drug dealing gang.

They were arrested yesterday with when officers raided and searched 14 addresses including a house in Devana Way, Great Glen, and properties in Leicester and Hinckley.

Officers seized a large quantity of suspected Class A and B drugs, tens of thousands of pounds in cash, two cars and dozens of mobile phones.

The men, aged between 19 and 49, are all being held on suspicion of drug and money laundering offences, following an investigation by the East Midlands Special Operations Unit,  with support from Leicestershire Police.

Two men have also been arrested on suspicion of immigration offences.
