Victim Of Fatal Crash Named

Police have named a teenager who died in a crash near Willougby Waterleys before Christmas.

Thomas Gamble, who was aged 18 and from Broughton Astley, was the front seat passenger in a Ford Fiesta that crashed into a ditch on Willoughby Road at 3.15pm on December 20^th.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but sadly died.

The driver and two other passengers suffered minor injuries.

Officers are still appealing for anyone who saw the vehicle being driven beforehand and haven’t as yet contact them to get in touch.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “Also if anyone has video recording equipment installed in their vehicles and were in the area yesterday afternoon we would ask that they check the footage and contact officers if they have anything recorded which will assist with the investigation.
