Plea After 50 Youths Gathered In Kibworth Park

Police say young people must play their part in stopping the spread of Coronavirus after around 50 gathered in a park in Kibworth.
Officers were called twice to reports of the group drinking alcohol, swearing and playing loud music at the Smeeton Road Recreation Ground on Friday night.
Most of those present scattered when they arrived.
Officers from Harborough police tweeted: “We found a group of 40 to 50 children playing loud music, shouting and swearing – bad by any standard.
“If yours comes home tonight covered in mud, it’s because they ran across fields when we arrived.
“A lot of these teens were clearly drunk and have got the drink from somewhere – might be from home.
“They have also put themselves and their families at risk from the Covid virus.
“It might not effect them badly, but older family members might not be so lucky.
“We will be back.”
Patrols were stepped up on Saturday for Halloween with no major anti-social behaviour incidents reported.
