Warning Issued After Schoolgirl Followed

A warning has been issued to school children in Market Harborough after a teenage girl was followed by a man.

It happened as the Year 10 student was walking to Welland Park Academy yesterday morning.

The man, described as aged 40 to 50, who was wearing grey baggy jogging buttons and a black hoodie – asked her to ‘go with him.’

She didn’t respond and alerted staff when she got to school.

Police have been informed and other students urged to remain vigilant, with parents also told of the incident.

Other schools in the town have also made their pupils and parents aware.
