‘Eye-Sore’ Transformed With Wildflowers

After it was branded an eye-sore, wildflowers are now brightening up part of Market Harborough, adjacent to the River Welland.

They were planted by Severn Trent Water, off Rockingham Road near the railway bridge, earlier this year. following criticism about the state of the area.

It was used as a site compound during the water pipe renewal works, which left the ground badly churned up.

The Market Harborough Environment Group has praised the firm for their efforts in planting wildflower seeds as part of the clean-up.
