Plan For 24-Hour Gym In Town Centre Set For Go-Ahead

Written by on 14th July 2020

The plan to turn the former B&M store in Market Harborough town centre into a 24-hour gym could be given the go-ahead next week.

Planning officers are recommending councillors allow the building in the Commons Car Park to be used for leisure purposes, instead of retail.

The gym would go in the former B&M store

A national gym operator is set to move into the former shop, which shut in March, subject to the change of use application being approved.

Planning documents state the unit would likely remain empty if it remains as a shop, as has proved unsuccessful for a number of major retailers.
