Man Arrested After High-Speed Police Pursuit

A man has been arrested after a high-speed Police pursuit across three counties passed through several local villages yesterday.

It started in Northampton at 4.45pm, after a grey BMW 3-series car failed to stop for officers, with the vehicle being followed through places including Market Harborough, East Farndon and Great Oxendon, before being finally stopped in Rugby an hour later.

A number of marked and unmarked Police cars were involved and the Police helicopter was scrambled to assist.

Northamptonshire Police say a 30-year-old man, who was arrested for failing to stop for officers, remains in custody.
