Little Bowden Bowling Club has seen its green transformed thanks to help from the Market Harborough and the Bowdens Charity.
It provided part of the funding for the new grass and associated works which has taken place over the past few weeks in preparation for the new season.

The new bowling green
The previous green had become worn-out.
Adrian Trotter, Chairman of MHBC said: “This project meets many of our objectives, with the club providing sporting activity for all ages and contributing to the health and welfare of people in the area. We are pleased to be able to help. We welcome opportunities to work with local sports clubs, so please don’t hesitate to talk to us to see if we can help you.”

The green before the upgrade
Richard Hall, Chairman of Little Bowden Bowling Club, expressed his gratitude towards MHBC. “We are fully appreciative of the contribution made by MHBC to this project. We endeavour to be a key player in the local community – our clubhouse is used by a number of local groups and organisations as well as individual hirers. However, the core of our purpose is the game of bowls and this new green will seriously enhance our activity. Many, many thanks!”
