Cash Boost For Groups After Scarecrow Festival

Community groups have been given a cash boost thanks to the success of last year’s Lubenham Scarecrow Festival.

Over £8,000 raised at the popular September event has been handed out to organisations including the village School, Church, Scouts, Playing Fields Committee, In Bloom Team and Hfm.

Jim Burbage, chairman of the festival, says the event relies on the good-will of the residents:

This year’s Scarecrow Festival will take place on the weekend of September 12th and 13th.
