Appeal After Thief Grabs Cigarettes

A thief narrowly avoided knocking over an elderly customer after grabbing packets of cigarettes and running out of the Weltons shop in Great Bowden yesterday afternoon.
He then got into a black Volvo car which sped off in the direction of Dingley Road.
It happened at 2.45pm and left the young shop assistant shaken.
The thief is described as in his early 20s, about 5ft 4in tall with ginger hair and was wearing jeans and a light-coloured blue striped T-shirt.
CCTV footage has been passed to Police.
Anyone with information about the incident or may have scene the car before or afterwards should call Police on 101, quoting incident 374 of 28/8/19.
