Expansion at Airfield Farm

Work on a 5.2 million pound business park expansion at Airfield Farm is
reported to be on track for completion by November.
Construction on the 13 acre site – off Harborough Road, near the
Innovation Centre – began in February.
Airfield Business Park is being developed by Leicestershire County
Council – with the aim of creating more than 200 jobs to boost business
and employment opportunities in the Harborough District.
So far, construction company J Tomlinson has built the steel frames for
the units at the park, close to the A6.
The County Council made the purchase from its capital programme for the
scheme – which is funded by proceeds of land and building sales.
It’s hoped that many of the industrial units, warehousing and offices
there will be occupied by Christmas.
