A motorcyclist has died in hospital after a crash on the A47 near Thurnby and Bushby late last night.
Three motorbikes and a lorry were involved in the collision on Uppingham Road just before midnight, which happened in tailbacks caused by another accident that happened just after 11pm and involved a Mercedes C200, the driver of which fled the scene.
The male rider was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham but sadly died later.

They would also like to speak to anyone who has dashcam equipment installed in their vehicles and may have captured some footage from Uppingham Road, as it could assist with the investigation.
Anyone with any information about the first collision is asked to contact 101 and anyone who can assist with information about the fatal collision is asked to contact DC 4695 Louise McMahon on 101, quoting incident 3 of 4 July.
