Anne Set For Paragliding Challenge

A disabled Market Harborough pensioner is to go paragliding to raise cash for a charity very close to her heart.

Anne Pridmore, who was born with Cerebral Palsy and is a wheelchair user, wanted to do something extra special to mark her 80^th birthday and will take to the skies during an activity holiday in France next month.

She is being sponsored to raise money for Canine Partners, a charity that trains assistance dogs, like her dog Casey.

The animal can open and shut doors, pick up and fetch items and even pass Anne’s purse to cashiers in shops, meaning she can remain as independent as possible.
