2020 Cheltenham Festival Thursday

The Cheltenham Festival takes place over four days of top quality racing, with Thursday being the third day of the festival.
It is one of the most exciting days of the Cheltenham Festival and features seven races across the afternoon, before attention seriously turns to Gold Cup day and the conclusion of the Cheltenham Festival on Friday.
However, it does sadly mean that the festival is edging towards its conclusion. The gates are opened to the public from 10:30 on the Thursday of the Cheltenham Festival and the first race of the day is The Marsh Novices’ Chase (Grade 1) at 13:30.
This is then followed by The Pertemps Network Final (A Handicap Hurdle Race) (Listed) at 14:10 and is the lead up to the feature race of the day, which is The Ryanair Steeple Chase (Grade 1) at 14:50, where £350,000 is given to the winner.
The huge cash prizes don’t stop there either on Thursday, with the prize fund of the following race at 15:30 The Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle (Grade 1) being £325,000. A further three races follow, kicking off with The Brown Advisory & Merriebelle Stable Plate (A Handicap Steeple Chase) (Grade 3) at 16:10.
The National Hunt Breeders Supported By Tattersalls Mares Novices’ Hurdle (Grade 2) is at 16:50 before Thursday’s action at the 2020 Cheltenham Festival draws to a close with The Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup Handicap Steeple Chase (0-145).
Fans who attend the newest addition to the Cheltenham Festival, The Park, will be able to enjoy a 90-minute DJ set from Capital FM DJ Roman Kemp from 16:30 on Thursday, also.
