Youngsters To Benefit From Paddle Board Donation
Written by HFM News on 26th October 2021
Youngsters in and around Market Harborough will be able to learn more about waterways thanks to Market Harborough Building Society’s Charitable Foundation.
It handed a grant of just under £5,000 to the Canal and River Trust, enabling it to buy paddle boards, paddles, buoyancy aids and helmets.
The equipment, to be based at Foxton Locks, will be used to teach water safety, during activity days and free paddle board taster sessions.
The Trust will work with schools and other organisations to introduce youngsters to waterways through safe and qualified instructors.
The equipment was officially handed over during a presentation at Union Wharf in Market Harborough.
