A woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage at the BP garage on the outskirts of Market Harborough.

Police say the 54 year old was spoken to by officers on the forecourt over an allegation of driving while disqualified, and became ‘uncooperative’ after being allowed to use the toilet inside the M&S Simply Food store at the McDonald’s Roundabout.

A spokesperson told Hfm: “Shortly before 5pm yesterday (Wednesday) police noticed a vehicle being driven by a disqualified driver at a petrol station on the A6 on the outskirts of Market Harborough.

“The driver was spoken to and also reported that she felt sick.

“Officers allowed her to use a toilet within the petrol station, but the woman became uncooperative.

“She was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage. She remains in custody and enquiries are continuing.”
