Witness Appeal After Fatal Crash In Market Harborough

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision in Market Harborough this morning.

It happened at around 10.20am in an area off Great Bowden Road, near to Albany Road, and involved one vehicle, a Vauxhall Corsa.

Police, East Midlands Ambulance Service, Air Ambulance paramedics and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service attended and a woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Constable Pete Davies from Leicestershire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle being driven beforehand.

“If you have dash cam installed in your vehicle or any CCTV footage which captured what happened please get in touch.

Anyone with information can call 101 quoting incident 146 of 28 March.

The road was closed between Albany Road and Great Bowden Road to allow for an investigation of the scene. It has since been reopened.
