Warning Issued Over Fireworks Event Scammers

The organisers of Market Harborough’s postponed drive-in fireworks event are warning people not to be fooled by scammers.
Fake websites have been set-up claiming the event, that was due to be held tonight, is to be streamed live on-line, and asking for payment for people to watch.
Other fraudsters are trying to ‘re-sell’ tickets which they have not bought.
People are being urged not to click on any such links, which have appeared on social media.
The event, which was in support of the Air Ambulance charity, had to be postponed due to the lockdown and will be re-organised for a future date.
Those who bought tickets should have received an email from organisers, Harborough-based Roaming Giraffe Events and Komodo Fireworks, with instructions of how to request a refund.
