Volunteers Praised After Market Harborough’s In Bloom Win

Market Harborough’s In Bloom team is being praised after winning first prize in the East Midlands In Bloom competition.

Volunteers picked up a gold award as the town was crowned overall winner of the large town category yesterday.

The team was also handed the Horticultural Excellence Within Parks award, for their work with Harborough District Council and its contractor FCC in Welland Park.

Judges visited town in July to view floral displays and environmental projects.

There is also praise for the In Bloom team in Lubenham, who were handed a Gold award in the Village category of the contest.

Harborough MP Neil O’Brien told HFM the work of the volunteers is fantastic:
