Van Posted On Social Media ‘Not Involved In Dog Thefts,’ Say Police

Harborough Police are offering reassurance after the picture of van was circulated on social media, amid concerns it could be linked to dog thefts.

It was seen in the vicinity of dog walkers in the Great Bowden area yesterday.

In a statement, officers said: “We have recently been made aware of a suspicious incident involving this van in the Great Bowden area of Market Harborough and concerns that it could be connected to dog thefts.

“Local officers have been to speak with the registered keeper, we would like to reassure you that they were in the area for legitimate reasons and there is no evidence that the occupant is involved in the theft or attempt theft of any dogs.”
