Trial Set After Desborough Man Denies Murder

A Desborough man charged with murder is due to stand trial next month.
Samuel Field, 40, is accused of assaulting 93-year-old Martin Glynn at a house on Gold Street on 20 September 2024.
Mr Glynn suffered a serious head injury and died three months later.
Northampton Crown Court
Field appeared at Northampton Crown Court yesterday and pleaded not guilty to the murder charge.
He was remanded back into custody ahead of his trial, which is due to start on April 20th and is expected to last three to four weeks.
He also faces a separate charge of possession of a Class B drug.
