Welland Park Staff Bring Books to Life for World Book Day

Staff at Welland Park Academy in Market Harborough went all out for World Book Day, transforming corridors into a colourful parade of literary characters.

Students spotted favourites from Mr Men, Alice in Wonderland, The Hunger Games, Minions, The Hungry Caterpillar, Star Wars, Little Red Riding Hood, The Indian in the Cupboard, and more.

Pupils had fun guessing which books the characters came from, while a Book Swap in the library at break and lunchtime gave everyone the chance to share and discover new reads.

Children at primary schools across the area also joined in yesterday’s celebrations by going to school in fancy dress as their favourite literary characters.
