Big weekend of cup rugby for Market Harborough’s young players

It’s a big weekend for the mini and junior sections at Market Harborough Rugby Union Football Club.
The club’s Northampton Road ground is hosting a packed programme of county cup rugby, beginning tonight and continuing across the weekend.
Friday night will see the venue stage the first-ever Leicestershire Rugby Union Girls County Cup Finals under the lights, with eight matches taking place across the Under-14, Under-16 and Under-18 age groups.
Market Harborough teams will also be involved on the night, with supporters invited to go along and watch. The club shop and bar will be open and food will be available.
The action continues on Saturday when Harborough’s Colts side play Hinckley Rugby Club in the County Cup semi-final at 2.30pm. The club’s second team are also in action, and the Six Nations Championship will be shown on screens in the clubhouse.
The league-leading first fifteen are away to Stamford.
The weekend concludes on Sunday with the club’s Under-16 boys playing Leicester Forest Rugby Club in the County Cup Final, which kicks off at 3pm at Leicester Forest Vipers Rugby Club.
Visitors are welcome throughout the weekend, with parking available at the club and a small charge for spectators walking in.
