Tips Set To Stay Open During Lockdown

Tips in Market Harborough and Kibworth look set to stay open during the second lockdown.
National guidance says the household waste and recycling sites should continue to operate during the next four weeks, where possible to safely do so.
Leicestershire County Council says people should only visit if it is essential though and only by appointment, with a booking system still in place.
Cllr Trevor Pendleton, county council cabinet member for waste disposal, said: “The Government guidance we have seen makes it clear that our waste sites should remain open where possible to safely do so.
“However, we want to encourage people to only visit our sites, if essential, and only if they have an appointment as our booking system remains in place.”
People wishing to visit a waste site are reminded that all information about the types of waste accepted at each site, as well as links to the booking system, are available at www.leicestershire.gov.uk/waste
Tips across Northamptonshire are also remaining open.
