Three Big Events For Festive Season

There will be three big events in Market Harborough town centre in the run-up to Christmas.

Festivities will start with the Christmas Lights Switch-On on Saturday November 23rd, a new late night shopping event will be held on Thursday November 28th, before the popular Christmas Fayre returns on Friday December 6th.

The switch-on event around The Square will run from 5-8pm and be hosted by HFM, with the lights to be switched on at 6.30pm by Harborough District Council Chairman, Cllr Peter Elliott, supported by special guests.

The night will be filled with entertainment and special guests including the return of the much loved De Montfort Hall’s pantomime Dame Jack Ballard.

A Christmas Food and Drink Fair will  also be running in The Square all day from 10am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 22, 23, 24 November, serving an array of winter warmers to enjoy plus additional gift stalls.

Harbs Collective is organising the new late night shopping event on November 28th and so far over 40 shops have signed-up to stay open until 8pm or 9pm.

The Christmas Fayre will round-off the festive events on December 6th, when the town centre will be turned into a winter wonderland for the evening.

Attractions will include live music, street performers, stalls, a fairground, lots of refreshments, falling snow and HFM will also be there!
