Thieves Continue To Steal Catalytic Converters

Thieves are continuing to target Toyota and Honda cars to steal their catalytic converters.

A number have been stole during the past month, with the latest targeted on Friday in the car park of Harborough Leisure Centre.

Police say they are being stolen during the day mainly from vehicles in car parks.

It’s thought the parts, which convert exhaust emissions into less toxic substances, are being taken to be stripped down, because of the expensive metals they contain.

Officers are urging anyone who notices people acting suspiciously underneath vehicles to call them.
