Thief Admits Stealing From Pensioner In Market Harborough

A thief has admitted stealing a disabled pensioner’s handbag and bag of Christmas shopping in Market Harborough.

Lance Collins,33, grabbed them from the car of the 78 year old woman in the Sainsbury’s car park on Springfield Street on December 19^th.

Collins, of St Stephens Road, Nottingham, has pleaded guilty to theft at Leicester Magistrates and has been remanded in custody ahead of being sentenced at Leicester Crown Court later this month.

Following the theft people rallied round to support the victim and replace the shopping that was stolen.
