There is still hope the Bonmarché shop in Market Harborough can be saved from closure, despite signs indicating it could shut next week.

Administrators say talks are continuing in a bid to sell the over-50s women’s fashion chain to sister-firm Peacocks, who have been selected as the preferred bidder for shops across the country.
Posters in the window of the St Mary’s Place store, which employs around ten full and part-time staff, are counting down til the end of a Closing Down Sale.
Bonmarché went into administration in October last year, after a sustained period of challenging trading conditions and cashflow pressure, which meant the business was unable to meet its financial obligations as they were due.
A spokesman for the administrators FRP said: “The joint administrators have identified Peacocks as a preferred bidder for Bonmarche.
“Negotiations with Peacocks are ongoing and further updates will be provided in due course.”
