Technical Fault Means Free Parking!

Some machines were still giving free tickets on Saturday
A technical fault meant some drivers were able to park for free in Market Harborough on Saturday.
Some payment machines in the Council car parks were giving free tickets, like on Saturdays during December, and others malfunctioned meaning they were charging £6 for an hours’ parking.
Councillor Phil Knowles saw first-hand the confusion drivers were experiencing when using the machines in the Sainsbury’s Car Park and contacted Council officers.
A spokesman for Harborough Council told Hfm: “This was a technical oversight on the part of the supplier who have now remedied the issue.
“We apologise for any inconvenience.”
