The transformation of Market Harborough Railway Station is entering its final stage.

A blue line on the current platform indicates the angle the new track will take
Work will begin soon to prepare for the installation of a new footbridge and lifts to improve disabled access onto platforms.
That will mean the line shutting over two weekends later this month and buses replacing trains.
To allow the work to be carried out safely, all lines between Kettering and Leicester will be closed from 10pm on Saturday 16th February and all day on Sunday, 17th February and from 10pm on Saturday, 23rd February and all day Sunday, 24th February.
That will be followed by a six day closure at the end of May, when a new section of straighter track is connected to the existing one.

Work to build the new platforms continues
Network Rail says the £53m Market Harborough Line Speed Improvement Project is on target to be completed by the end of the year – the final part adding 200 more spaces to the car park.
