Signalling Fault Causes Major Rail Disruption

A fault with the signalling system in the Market Harborough area caused major disruption for rail passengers last night.
The line between Kettering and Leicester was closed for almost three hours while engineers from Network Rail worked to fix the problem.

Trains were unable to serve Market Harborough during the closure, with passengers advised to seek alternative travel arrangements.
East Midlands Railway has apologised to customers for the disruption and any inconvenience caused.
