Shop Owner Chases Thief After Cash Stolen

A Market Harborough shop owner gave chase to a thief who stole her day’s takings.
The man posed as a customer at Hanworth, before grabbing around £500 in cash and running out of the shop on Adam and Eve Street.
Owner Rose Jarvis chased him along an alleyway beside her shop, across St Mary’s Road and into St Mary’s Place, before she lost sight of the thief heading towards Sainsbury’s.
The theft happened at the hat and curiosity shop just after 5pm yesterday.
Rose told HFM more about what happened and how it has left her feeling:

Rose says the thief was aged in his 30s, had dark hair and was wearing a white t-shirt.
She is appealing for any CCTV footage that may have captured the man running away and being pursued by her.
Police are also appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to call 101.
