It’s Secondary School Place Offer Day!

TODAY is ‘National School Place Offer Day’ – when students across the HFM area discover which secondary school they’ve been allocated.

It’s the first year in which Leicestershire has offered parents up to five preferences – with the County Council revealing 98.31% of youngsters secured one of these, while 90.96% got their first choice secondary school.

In North Northamptonshire, families still only get three school preferences, with 95.5% of applicants having received a place at one of these, and 83.16% securing their first preference.

Parents now have the right to appeal against the refusal of a place at a school for which they’ve applied.
