Rural Crime Concerns Raised At Meeting

Concerns about rural crime across Harborough and what is being done to tackle it were discussed last night.
Harborough Community Safety Partnership hosted the ‘Rural Crime Event’ in North Kilworth.
Last night’s ‘Rural Crime Event’
Over 30 farmers, landowners and other members of the rural community met with Police, the Fire Service, community safety officials, charity Crimestoppers and members of the National Farmers Union.
Issued raised included fly-grazing, where animals are placed on land illegally, machinery theft, and criminal damage.
Crime reduction agencies and businesses were also be at the event to promote crime prevention measures.
