Rise In Coronavirus Cases Across Harborough District

The number of new Coronavirus cases across the Harborough District is on the increase.

The infection rate rose to 18.1 per 100,000 people in the seven days up to August 30th, with 17 new cases confirmed, according to Public Health England data.

That compares with a rate of 8.5 per 100,000 the previous week, when there were eight new cases.

It’s the biggest increase since the beginning of July and health health bosses are reminding people to continue to follow measures to stop the spread of Covid-19.
