Record Turnout At Lubenham Scarecrow Festival

Organisers estimate around 20,000 people visited the Lubenham Scarecrow Festival over the weekend – the biggest turnout in the event’s 20 year history.
Over 160 villagers put hand-crafted scarecrows outside their homes, also the highest number ever, as the festival returned for the first time in two years.

There were also 70 stalls on the green and more than a dozen local voluntary groups ran competitions to raise funds for their causes and HFM provided music throughout the weekend.
Free tractor rides, which were fully occupied for every hour of both days, took visitors on tours around the village to see the scarecrows, including some paying tribute to the Queen.
