‘Prolific’ Market Harborough Shoplifter Jailed

A persistent thief who targeted Market Harborough shops has been jailed.

Gary Parker admitted several shoplifting offences, including stealing alcohol from Sainsbury’s and Waitrose, on a number of occasions in the past three months.

Leicester Magistrates heard he continued to steal, despite being given a suspended prison sentence last month after being caught red-handed with stolen goods by plain-clothed Police.

Parker, 32, of Jubilee Gardens, Market Harborough, been jailed for 16 weeks, after being arrested last Thursday by Police who found him hiding behind a bed.
