Polling Stations Open For Local Elections

Polling stations have opened for local elections across Harborough today.
They are open until 10pm and for the first time, people will need to show photo ID before casting their vote.
125 candidates are contesting seats in 19 wards for a place on Harborough District Council, with 34 councillor positions up for grabs.
Parish Council elections are also taking place.
Staff at Harborough District Council are finalising arrangements for the count, which will take place tomorrow at Harborough Leisure Centre.
