Apology After Road Repair Work Did Not Happen

Written by on 4th May 2023

Highway bosses have apologised after planned carriageway repairs on a street in Market Harborough did not take place.

Residents were unable to park outside their homes on Connaught Road on Tuesday as a ‘no-waiting’ restriction was put in place, which also affected the stretch of road outside the Post Office, preventing customers from parking outside.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire County Council told HFM: “The team which was due to carry out carriageway repairs on Connaught Road, Market Harborough had to be diverted to carry out urgent repairs to keep the highway safe at another location.

“The work at Connaught Road will now take place later.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
