A Police helicopter has been circling Market Harborough this morning, but there is no need to be concerned.
New pilots from the National Police Air Service base in Husbands Bosworth were on a training exercise.
The helicopter hovered about the Southern Estate and other areas.
A spokesperson for NPAS told Hfm that because of the Covid-19 pandemic, its bespoke training facility for new pilots is temporary closed, meaning they are receiving on-base training instead.
They added that they will be varying the areas used, so as not to disturb people.
Our new pilot is almost ready for his final check to become fully operational tomorrow. We've got two more training sorties today with one already successfully completed near Market Harborough. Give us a wave if you see us out and about. Can't say where though, he might see! ^RE pic.twitter.com/xgvsCHtMaF
