Police Detain Man After Pursuit Through Field

A Market Harborough man was detained after Police were called to reports of illegal hare coursing last night.
Officers pursued a vehicle through a muddy field in the village of Noseley after being alerted at 9.15pm.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “Officers were deployed and found a vehicle on the land, with dogs also present.
“The vehicle attempted to make off from officers. but became stuck.”
The man was searched under Poaching legislation and reported for driving offences.
Farmers have expressed concern about an increase in hare coursing in various parts of the Harborough District in recent weeks.
