Person Dies After Being Hit By Train In Little Bowden

A person has died after being hit by a train in Little Bowden.
Emergency services were called to the track off Bellfields Lane early this morning.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to the line near Market Harborough at 6.06am today (16 March) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Train services were suspended following the incident but have since resumed.
