Community Rally Round To Support Young Scout Leader After Theft

People are rallying round to support a young Market Harborough Scout leader who had all his camping and hiking equipment stolen.
Over £450 has been donated to 15-year-old Connor Hurst after he launched a crowdfunding appeal in a bid to replace the items, which were worth around £1,000.
They were in two large rucksacks stolen by a man from outside his auntie’s house in Little Bowden on Sunday, just after he had returned from helping at an expedition organised by the 1st Bowdens Scout group.

The thief was caught on CCTV walking along Rectory Lane having taken the bags.
Connor, a student at Robert Smyth Academy, has set a fundraising target of £1,000 to replace the equipment he had paid for himself and will donate any additional money to his Scout group’s fundraising appeal for a new hut.
He told HFM he is so grateful for all the support:
