Padel Tennis Proving A Real Hit!

Written by on 1st October 2020

Padel Tennis is proving a real hit with people in and around Market Harborough.

Nearly 200 people have tried the sport, a cross between squash and tennis, since new glass-sided courts opened three weeks ago, including 50 at an open day on Sunday.

The facilities at the cricket and squash club on Fairfield Road are the first of their kind in the midlands aad cost £130,000, funded through grants and fundraising.

The game, which is widely played in Spain and Portugal is a relative new comer to the UK.

Market Harborough Squash Club currently offers squash, racketball, pétanque and table tennis to its members – as well as coaching for 50 juniors a week. New members are always welcome with Off Peak Squash Membership starting at £18 a month.
