New free arts event launches in Market Harborough

A new free monthly arts event is launching in Market Harborough this weekend.
Art in the Park is a collaboration between the newly formed Two Quarts Arts Community Interest Company and the Welland Park Café, with organisers hoping to encourage people of all ages and abilities to get creative.
The first session takes place today until2pm in Welland Park and will focus on Perspex portrait painting.
Future sessions are expected to explore a range of different artistic techniques, giving people the opportunity to try new skills in a relaxed outdoor setting.
Organisers say there is no charge to take part and everyone is welcome, whether they are experienced artists or complete beginners.
