New Electricity Substation

The National Grid says it’s pleased to have received the go ahead to build a new electricity substation in Braybrooke – having been granted planning permission by Kettering Borough Council.
The substation will provide power supplies to a proposed new trackside feeder station – which Network Rail says it needs as part of its plans to upgrade the Midland Main Line.
National Grid advises it will begin construction work in Spring next year…and will try hard to keep disruption to a minimum.
