New ‘Community Masterplans’ Announced
Written by HFM News on 12th August 2025
A drive to ‘enhance’ green spaces across Harborough has been launched by Harborough District Council.
Financed from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the Council has launched what it calls a ‘proactive’ new initiative to identify public open spaces which could be enhanced for local residents via ‘community masterplans.’
A total of £80,000 of funding has been allocated for the project.
The authority is promising a ‘planned and coordinated approach’ which will involve engagement with community representatives and local councillors in several locations.
It’ll be specifically focused on areas in the Harborough District which have had proposals put forward by developers for considerable housing growth in the future.”
