Mystery as Pop & Shop Bays Fenced Off in Market Harborough

Mystery surrounds why the 30-minute ‘Pop and Shop’ bays in Sainsbury’s car park in Market Harborough were cordoned off yesterday.
Plastic fencing blocked the area, leaving drivers unable to use the free parking spaces and part of a pavement was also closed.
It is a mystery why parking bays were cordoned off
Harborough District Council confirmed that neither they, Sainsbury’s, utility companies nor any nearby shops were responsible.
The authority says it has now removed the fencing, but the reason it was put up in the first place remains unclear.
