MP Urges People To Follow Government Advice
Written by HFM News on 18th March 2020
Harborough’s MP is urging people to follow the latest government advice on Coronavirus.
Neil O’Brien says it’s vital the community does all it can to reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19 to others.
He told Hfm: “I appreciate this is a worrying time for many, but there are a number of steps we must all take to reduce our risk of contracting the virus and unwittingly spreading it to others.
“Some of the steps are easier than others, such as repeatedly washing our hands, but really make such a difference towards reducing the risks of spreading.
“Others such as self-isolating are understandably harder but are absolutely necessary for people showing symptoms and in at-risk groups. This includes anyone over 70, pregnant or those with underlying health conditions; please ensure you follow the guidance if you belong to one of these groups.”
Mr O’Brien is also urging people in need of support, or happy to volunteer to help others, to contact organisations like Harborough-based charity VASL:
